The End of the Autumn beginning of Winter at Maisonvogue
One day they look splendid next morning dead and slimy
I have just come in braving the cold and have removed them all from the pots and flower beds ...
Now the garden is in Winter mode.
Sleeping and getting a well earned rest.
A week ago I found these sweet red Toadstools on the edge of the lawn ..there were 8 of them than just popped up over night.
Each one was tattered and torn as this one is.
But I just love their color and I am sure the Fairies loved them too !!
Winter is coming to Maisonvogue
Even in the Deep, Deep South;
It’s time that Jack Frost arrives;
Frosty breath bellowing out of his mouth;
Making certain that no flower survives.
Long dark nights and candle light;
Crock pot soups and hearty stews;
Owls hooting in the cold starry night;
Holiday congregations fill up the pews.
Happy times are every person’s hope;
Thoughts of what the New Year will bring;
So much to do, no time to mope;
Waiting for the Church bells to ring.

They will take the frost and may become frozen but once the sun comes out they pop up their little heads to make us smile again
They should last right till the moment I put in new Summer plantings in about the middle of April.
I am busy in the kitchen tomorrow getting ready for Thanksgiving
I hope that your Thanksgiving arrangements are going well and are stress free
However much you have to do or stress you are under
Please find 10 minutes to sit down with a lovely cup of hot tea in a beautiful cup with a cookie, chocolate or a slice of something delicious.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all
Kindest regards
Janet
