I haven't been able to blog on a regular basis lately as I am undergoing tests for a problem with my dominant right arm and I have to rest it ...Doctor's orders ..so I am so sad not to be blogging and connecting with you all as often ..I hope you will bare with me during this frustrating time and I thought I would invite you in to our Guest bedroom and let you look at some of the Nooks and Crannies of one of my favorite rooms in our home ... This room should be called 'The Memory Room' as it is full of memories ..such as our bookcase full of books for guests to enjoy ...As you know I have a Passion for anything Jane Austen and here is a pillow I have made of her and some of my favorite books ...the tin candle holder was one of my thrift store finds many moons ago These two old country book ends have been with me since I moved here 17 years ago ..no bookcase is complete without some Angel wings My Jane Austen Pillow makes me smile, it is available in my Etsy.com store but at the moment I have had to close it till I am given the go ahead again to start sewing ..I hope it won't be too long before I can A sweet 'Thank You' card that a friend sent me who knows my love of Jane Austen A shelf for the gentlemen guests too ...books on wars and history etc... I can't sell Winnie the Pooh pillows because of copyright but I did make my favorite one for my book case with one of my favorite sayings ..."What day is it ?" asked Pooh "It's today" Squeaked Piglet "My Favorite Day" said Pooh !! Top of the Bookcase framed with some of my favorite things Just a little peek through the foot board of the bed ...I love the flowery quilt I have on at the moment but once my arm is better I may just put on some other bedding and linens for a change Sleepy bear ..I bought him over from England ...he has a gold diaper (Nappy) and I made this shabby chic shelf for him to sleep on ..isn't he adorable !! My Husband's Grandmother's old floral lamp, a poem I wrote for my Husband and a lovely drinks coaster I found at the thrift store graces the bed side cabinet ( night stand) A wall is dedicated to our Daughter's Wedding that took place in September, 2013 ...all the frames are from the thrift store ..so a wall of very happy memories to make me smile I LOVE VIntage linens ...so much prettier than the ones you find today in the stores French Magazines to amuse our guests and when I go to France I always light candles for loved ones who have passed on and then buy an extra one and bring it home with me One of my own designs that I print out on to pillows for you to buy and for me to keep Breakfast can be served in our guest bedroom along with magazines and books to read in this vintage wicker tray...another thrift store find
