We went to Guernsey across the Channel to England and visited Stonehenge and London
Then later on that year we drove down to Key West, Florida, US for a beautiful vacation.
Stonehenge was a surprise visit for my Husband Danny ...he did not know we
were going to visit it till we were going up the road and he saw it ..
It was worth a visit ...we loved it .
You can go in to the towers and go up to the walkway at the top of the bridge as you can see here...
We were also lucky to see the bridge actually open up to let a sailing ship through on the river Thames.
The view from the bridge walk way shows you lots of wonderful London views including this one of the Tower of London ..
For some reason unknown to myself I have no photo's of these in my photo memories
Next vacation photo's came from 2006 ...so here they are
He lives at the house.
There are parts of the house that you can visit and it's wonderful to see.
But most of all people go for the Safari Park
A park around the home that you can drive through , with your windows up , and see lions, white tigers, wolves, etc..etc... it's a great place to visit
It has a large lake with two hippo's in it and a large family of sea lions that like to follow the tourist boat and make such a noise ..it's delightful to see ...
He lived at Longleat since 1966 and had a mate called Samba who died 10 years ago ...he never mated with her it was more like a brother, sister relationship.
I am so sorry to report that Nico died this January 7th 2018 ...he was 56 years old last July.
The 32-stone (200kg) gorilla arrived at the safari park soon after it opened in 1966 from a zoo in Switzerland
Nico is also thought to be the oldest silverback in Europe and the second oldest male gorilla in the world.
The staff at Longleat are all broken hearted.
I will share more of my travels with you in the future
Thanks for popping in to Maisonvogue
Have a wonderful day
