We changed the clocks on Saturday night and sprung forward an hour to Spring Time and it certainly has sprung here in Alabama at Maisonvogue

Those of you that have been looking in to my blogs for a while will know that 6 months ago I had serious major Spinal surgery and have had a slow recovery since then ...Not to bore everyone but just to explain I was loosing the use of my right arm and had terrible pain in my neck and shoulder and had to have two bulged discs in my neck replaced by artificial ones, two large bone spurs that were sticking in my spine removed and my neck and shoulder bones shaved down due to Rheumatoid Arthritis ..It has been a very unpleasant recovery but I am THRILLED to say that I am 98% over it ..of course the Arthritis is always going to be there but I have about 85% use of my arm now ...a miracle

I am over the moon that yesterday I was able to spend a day in my beloved garden ...I was able to dig up a small conifer tree that was planted last year but ended up underneath the Carolina Spruce tree when it grew so rapidly last year ...it was easy to dig up and dig another hole to place it in as we have had lots of rain and the ground is very soft ....

This beautiful photo of tiny purple flowers in the moss that I let grow on the edge of the woods looked so pretty this morning I thought I would share them with you

Blossom blowing in the warm Spring breeze this morning that is encompassing the Bradford Pear Tree

I also managed to plant lots of bulbs yesterday ...Bright Pink Dahlia's , Sweet little Lily of the Valley's , Bright Pink Peonie's, Red Hot Poker's'

In the shady part of the garden under the Carolina Spruce I planted a mixture of colored Caladium bulbs that should grow very well there

I also transplanted some more Snow Drop plants that were growing underneath trees in to our new border garden

I love to keep some amount of moss on the edge of our woods and down in the woodland garden ...it looks so pretty in it's vivid green and lovely clumps of flowers such as these pop up through out the Summer

We were lucky enough to have been given two gorgeous Bradford Pear Trees as a Wedding Anniversary Gift on our first Wedding Anniversary 16 years ago by my beloved departed Mother

Spring time is when I feel most alive ...it fills me with joy and hope

This is the Indian Feather Bush that I have now removed from the pot on our back deck and replanted in a sunny spot in our new border garden ....it will look lovely where I put it and will sway in the wind and wave to passers by ...like little white butterflies flitting around ..you can get this plant in several colors

I just love this picture that I found on Pinterest

I am going to try to achieve this in my garden

I have a lovely green Mexican Earthenware pot that would look great with flowers spilling from it

And I am going to see if I can plant a ground spreading plant in it and then some on the ground for them to meet up and look like this

I will have to look around and see what I can find

It's so pretty

Alas this bench had to go as the termites got to it and made it just like a dry sponge .....but I have an old concrete one that I have acquired from a junk shop and we are going to clean it up and get it ready to replace it

This is a great place for me to sit and bird watch and as you can see a certain someone likes to eat their dinner there too

Thanks for popping by

I hope that Spring isn't far away where you are

Take a little time to sit down and enjoy the view

Happy Days

Happy Gardening
