You never know what is around the corner and all of a sudden several family members including myself have health problems we all have to resolve .
It's raining in Alabama ...very gloomy all day so I thought I would cheer myself and have a lovely tea party with you
Picture
For a Downton Abbey Tea Party you need to dress the part
Picture
I think for the Tea Party that I might just wear my Downton Abbey dress I wore for our Daughter's Wedding
Picture
I am sure that I can use my little tea tray that I made from an old photo frame ..it has one of my pillow designs that I printed on fabric and put behind the glass ..I love the handles I found for it ..so unique...this is part of my 42 year old Colcough Hedgerow pattern china tea set that my Grandmother gave me for my Engagement present all those years ago ...

This dress would be great too that I wore to my Niece's wedding and my Daughter could wear hers ..how pretty she looked

Best Banana Bread Recipe ever

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, smashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (Plain)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

1) Preheat the oven to 350 F.

2) In a large bowl, mix butter into the mashed bananas, using wooden spoon. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix just enough to blend the ingredients; do not over0mix, the lumps will work themselves out.

3) Add chopped walnuts to the batter and mix them in to distribute evenly through the batter.

4) Butter a 4×8 inch loaf pan. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper, butter the parchment paper too. Pour the batter in the pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

Note: lining the bottom of the pan with parchment paper ensures that the bottom of the bread will not get stuck.

I LOVE to collect old lace doilies from Antique shops or thrift stores to adorn dresser shelves
Picture
I love to make my guests a small collection of different gift tags as a gift to take home with them so when they give a gift they can use their unique gift tags and then the gift I give just keeps on giving

Look on the shelves at your local thrift store and if you look closely you might find a lovely little decorative spoon that will make you and your guests smile

My favorite teacups always have roses on them ..I have some dinner plates that I found at the thrift store that nearly match this teacup

If you have a growing collection of teacups from the thrift and antique stores ..look out for a cute, unusual container to store them in ..it will add to their charm
