It's a very stormy, wet and windy day in Alabama ..it's warm too at 70 f.
Torrential rain since I opened my eyes this morning.
Giving hope to my bushes and trees that have been grasping at life due to the drought.
We have been experiencing over the past 6 months.
I have no blooming flowers in Maisonvogue's garden yet.
We are waiting for Spring to arrive when flowers will be in abundance.
For me to select and pick and bring in doors to enjoy all day long.
Meanwhile I have to use my imagination.
And create things to give me visual pleasure.
I bought these lovely 'Blush' roses from the Grocery Store.
And went to look out in my beloved garden.
To find something of interest to enhance the roses.
There I found some seed heads.
They bloom every year in September, October time.
The seed pods were interesting ...but just a dead brown ...I cut them and shook most of their seeds on to several places of soil in the garden ...hoping that more bushes may grow !!
Then brought them inside.
I found two cans of 'Design Master' dried flower paint spray one 'Robin Egg' Blue and the other 'Wedgwood' Blue ...and carefully, every so lightly sprayed the seed pods ..not changing the entire color but just enough to make it interesting and lovely enough to enhance my shop bought roses.
It worked !!
They turned out fabulously.
The delicious contents were enjoyed by Danny & I years ago.
So that I didn't get any leaks or create rust inside of the tin ..I put in a small 'ziplock bag' and filled it with water and little glass marbles to weight it down ..the 'zipper' area of the bag was stiff enough to stop the bag from sagging.
When pressed between two lifetimes;
It will last forever.
