Bit's 'n' Pieces of Maisonvogue

I have been so busy lately with extra pottery, sewing etc ..that I have been neglecting you ...
Today I am sharing some of my new items I have collected over the last few weeks.

These are two , I think , beautiful bone china teacups ....I just love the pattern of old fashioned violets.

That grow wild in the English hedgerows.

I found them at the Salvation Army thrift store for 99c ...unfortunately they had no saucers but I now have another mission to find some.

We were expecting tornadoes in our area last night with damaging winds and baseball sized hail ...so I cut some of my newly flowered Knockout Roses  ...and bought them inside to enjoy.

Luckily we were spared the bad weather but many places got the baseball hail and tornados and there was lots of damage in Alabama as well as Mississippi and Georgia ...One Car dealer had over 350 cars completely ruined by hail stones.
I am pleased to say there were no fatalities
Homes and business's have vanished.

It was Mother's day in England on March 11th and since I am English and my Son's still live in England they send me Mother's day wishes and gifts ...hence this lovely Mother's Day card with the word "Mom'" spelt as we spell it "Mum"

I got a wonderful gift from the Royal Mint .....it is a 50 pence (British currency) piece limited addition of Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit eating carrots ......I just absolutely LOVE it ...it also came in this wonderful case to keep it in 'mint' condition ..I have it displayed with my teacups on my curio cabinet .

The back of the coin features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ...as she is on the back of every British Coin.

Another teacup I came across for just 99c at the same thrift store as well as the lovely rose one below.

Some pretty Expresso Coffee cups I had given as a gift from my dear friend Heather ....they were also made in England by Johnson Bros. ...I just love them featuring gone by England

Wow, you have roses already! How beautiful!
Your thrift find tea cups are lovely. I need to quit being so picky and buy beautiful cups or saucers that don't have mates, then I can treasure hunt for their mates... Sounds like fun.
