It's a great Spring for beautiful flowers and growth ....this year is going to be a bumper year for a glorious garden at Maisonvogue
I am having the best year ever with my Hydrangea's ....Since I took these photo's a few days ago there are now double the blooms....
They are Blue and Purple and I have lace caps too that are pale pink with a pink, blue, lilac inside.
I love to cut them and bring them indoors.
You can't just pick a Hydrangea and put it in a vase ..it will wilt
Boil water and put it in a bowl ...take the bowl outside and cut the flower you wish to have and put the stem in the boiling water continue with each bloom.
Take inside and immediately put in to cold water ....
They will be fresh and beautiful for around 2 weeks in the house ..
As I look out to my garden
I feel a sense of pride
It really is a lovely room
Except it is outside.
Ladybugs can hide away
Sometimes they come out to see
What's happening around them
With caterpillars and the bee
There's not much more that I can say
Except if you have your own
It won't take long to build it up
Seeds will bloom once they are sown.
My Stargazer Lilies are gorgeous this year ..I was given this plant last year from a dear Friend ..and it has doubled this year ...
It looks so beautiful dancing in the wind ...
A great addition to my garden
I wish they would last all Summer but their blooming time is very limited.
The Gardenia's are just beginning to bloom and fill the air with their beautiful perfume.
This is my first time buying Sun Impatiens ....I have put them in my large Mexican pot and they seem to be thriving ...so pretty ...I am glad I got them.
They never let me down ...my daisies in the Wild flower garden .
Soon I will be photographing my Wild Flowers ...that are starting to have buds ...
They too are growing like crazy.
My beautiful Indian Feather Plants are having a good year too ....they look like little butterflies dancing with joy..
I have three in white and recently bought a pink one to sit next to the white
I can't wait till it is as large as the white ones ...
Such a precious plant
Go and find one at your local garden center.
You won't regret it
I embarked on buying my first Gladioli bulbs this year ...20 of them and all of them are standing tall and straight
I now have buds on most of them
Yet to see what colors they will be
I am excited about them
The large leaf plants inside the planter
Are Nasturtium plants from my Wild Flower seeds
They will look like this once they have grown
The other ground plant is a Sedum Ground plant
It has tiny yellow star flowers on it ..
Hosta's one of my favorite plants ..I have a whole group of glorious Hosta's growing underneath the Bradford Pear tree where they love the shade ...
Each one a different kind of Hosta with yellow or green leaves.
They never let you down
Don't plant in Sun they will not like it.
Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my blog
I appreciate you all
I hope that you enjoyed looking at just some of my flowers
Happy Gardening to you all
I was unable to share with you these two pieces of pottery I made for our Son's birthday's who live across the Pond on the Island of Guernsey till they had been received by our Son's as they were a surprise.
I had to double pack them a box within a box and lots of styrofoam peanuts ...I shipped them last Monday & they received on the Thursday all in one piece..PHEW !!!!
The post office sent them very quickly I am most impressed.
This piece is a Bird Feeder that I made for our youngest Ryan ...he loves his garden and feeding the birds ..he loves it ....so mission accomplished ..
I had fun making it for him ...I think I will have to make one for myself now
I loved the little roof ....I gently scalloped the edge and it's so cute ...
When I cut our the holes for the birds to feed from I just pushed in the 'tongue' that was left instead of cutting it off and that will help hold the seed in
Little wooden pegs that I bought from Michaels Craft store , in their wood section, and I treated them with a clear weather proofer spray ...they are then Super Glued in to the holes I made for them ..there were several designs I could have chosen from but I liked these the best.
Wayne loves to knit and crochet ..he is very good at it ....so I made him an unique Yarn Bowl ...and played around with a crazy glaze .
He just loves it ...it will take, as you can see a large ball of wool.
This is how it looked before it went in to the kiln for the final firing .
Wayne has a cat so I cut out a shape of a cat for him to feed his wool through.
The 'buttons' or 'nails' I did in Saturated gold
I carved his initials in it 'W H'
The inside (the base was a bright blue it didn't photograph well.
I made different size and shaped holes for yarn or knitting needles to be put through
I loved making these gifts for them both ...
It's such a joy to give a gift that is so personal
Thanks for popping by
Happy Days to you all
