I wanted to make an ancient crumbling village and I think I achieved it.
I did not know that you could grow them in the heat of the deep South in Alabama.
But I guess you can ..all 20 of my plants have flower buds growing.
Next year I will buy more and put them in tight groupings for a massive pop of color.
they are no work at all and I have them in sun and in shade and they seem to like both ..
I hope that I get enough to be able to cut some and bring them inside.
This week I mainly made it to try out a new glaze I had bought.
It's called Obsidian and then over it I put Seaweed two thick coats of both..all made by Amaco.
The camera isn't really showing the true color of the glaze ..it's really beautiful and I will use this combination on many of my creations in the future.
It's getting hot for the pansies but this one just keeps growing although it is being strangled by the leaves of the Black Eyed Susies.
I can also serve from the village ..I can put in chips or raw veggies and then a dip in the well ....fill it with homemade scones and then put Devon Clotted Cream in the well ....I can serve salad in it and put dressing in the well ...all sorts of things I can do with it ...it's very versatile ...
Yes I am addicted to pottery.
I love it so much
I have too many precious things from it I will have to put a new room on the the house !!!
I sold another necklace this week in my Etsy shop ...
The customer had bought one from me before.
They make good gifts and I have permanently put them down to $17.99
I hope that you enjoyed my post
I bought several pieces of pottery home this week so I will show you more another day
