This is all being done on a tight budget so I have had to hunt high and low for cheap options to make items for the walls etc..to create the atmosphere I envisage
French Industrial pieces combine the traditional lines of French design, with more masculine, industrial materials like worn woods and cool metals.
The thing I love most about these pieces is that by combining these elements, it adds a softness and versatility to the industrial design that makes it work in a variety of interiors.
If you’re worried that these items will cost you a fortune, think again.
I have found some vintage, very rusty tin roof tiles that I am in the process of turning in to a wall hanging that will be one of a kind and my own creation ..therefor I will get exactly what I wanted all on a budget ..the two tin roof tiles cost me just $ 5 at a local junk store
I buy my Anne Sloan Wax by the ounce on eBay as if you buy a large amount it can go hard when you go to use it months later ...you can buy the wax in clear or in dark (that antiques an item)..I pay just under $7's for my ounce of wax ...it goes along, long way
I hope you enjoyed my brief tour of French Industrial Design
I have some help this weekend as Danny is going to help me paint the doors in the kitchen
We have light grey walls, white woodwork and are going very bold with a dark Elephant grey in High Gloss for the doors ...I can't wait to see the results
That will be all of the painting done
A few more design elements to do then we will be able to fit the new flooring
I am very excited about that
I will take photo's along the way
And reveal all to you
And happy decorating to you all
