You may have noticed that I have not been blogging for a while but today I feel strong enough and happy enough to just pop in and say ' Hello' to you all

I have been battling major spinal and neck problems and had major surgery to correct my problem two weeks ago and today I am over the moon to say that I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and am finally feeling more human again

I finally can see that I can get my life back in a month or so time ...hopefully without any future pain or worry

I won't go in to it too much as I have already had my week of self pity and indulgence and am now bouncing back in leaps and bounds ...feeling renewed not just in body but truly in Spirit

I have arthritis in my hands and in my neck and shoulders ...and it had doubled the size of my bone and caused large bone spurs (two in all ) to stick in to my spine causing incredibly debilitating pain ...then after several tests and MRI's it was found that I had two bulging discs as well ...so they removed the discs and replaced them with artificial ones ...cut away the spurs and shaved down my bone ....all by key hole surgery through a 3" incision in the front of my neck ..incredible what they can do these days

First week recovery was the hardest thing I have EVER been through in my life and I hope I never have to experience it again ..but now I am on the up and up

Ready to grasp and regain my life back with lots of renewed excitement and hope

I am not going to harp on about my surgery any more other than yes it does make you relook at your life, though I do love my life , but I fuss and over clean my home and manicure my garden to such an obsessive degree that I am going to try to check all of that ..still keeping it lovely but also taking time to go out and enjoy the day ....hopefully getting out and about and photographing pretty things to show you etc ...may be pop in to that gorgeous country book store down the road with it's shabby chic front porch full of rocking chairs,  that has afternoons of crochet, knitting classes and I am hoping sewing classes ...not that I need them but to get to have some chit chat and learn other people's amazing idea's

Today is going to be my first day out since my surgery ...no big deal you say but to me it's a BIG day ...the start of living again ...I will go armed with my surgical neck brace and a walking stick and the loving arm of the most wonderful Man in the World , who has nursed me tirelessly with such gentleness and care a woman could never want or hope for more. washing my face, spoon or straw feeding me, washing my hair, drying it and even flat ironing it in to my favorite style..Darling Danny, even painting my toe nails and rubbing and creaming my feet ..all without me ever asking him ..I am a lucky woman so lucky I have to pinch myself  .....

My ever attentive loving Sons ..keeping me going and checking in on FaceTime through out the day and my dear Sister always there for me, though on the other side of the World. in Guernsey ..we are both in each others living rooms daily nattering and chatting , showing each other things during our day..just as if we were really together ..and dear Rosy ...always ready with a smile and something lovely to make me laugh

I am so Thankful for you all ......you are the rocks that I can ALWAYS rely on

Thank you FaceTime ..what an invention..

So that is it ...I will be making new blogs but they will still be limited for a while ...thanks so much for popping in and still having a look at my blog ....keeping it going ...I have been thinking of new exciting things to do and make once I am fully recovered

These photos were taken last year at my favorite Supermarket ..such a lovely display to greet us when we arrive to shop ...these Big Mac pumpkins are a tad expensive don't you think !!
Picture
I Love to have pumpkins that are abnormal ...I don't get orange ones ...instead of flowers my Husband came home last weekend with three lovely pumpkins for our living room table ...I will photograph them and post a quick photo tomorrow ....so lovely....and they should last right in to Jan/Feb next year if I am lucky two of them are an off white and one is mottled green and orange

During Danny's grocery shopping he took some photographs of one of the towns little shopping strips ..as you can see lots of Christmas items in the shops already

So pretty

Goodness me ....what a parade of colors ....I think I love it ...but not quite for me ...this Christmas is going to be a quiet affair as I am not going to be able to do my usual Christmas day for the family ...I look forward to the change and just being able to sit back and enjoy the day instead of working for weeks and weeks tirelessly and being exhausted on the day and some of the days after..

We will still have a wonderfully laid table though with the finest linen's that I have and all the glories of Christmas
